My husband and I have always traveled a lot. Sometimes it feels like we’re on an airplane once or twice a month. If not an airplane, there’s at least one road trip a month. Having Ellie come into our lives 5 years ago didn’t slow us down. Ellie took her first plane trip at 3 months old and number of road trips before that. Traveling is just something we do and I think it’s helped Ellie learn to just go with the flow of life. With that said, it does not mean traveling has always been easy!
The hardest part about traveling with a newborn for us was where would she sleep? Of course we had a pack n go, but that took up so much space!!!!! For awhile we’d lug that thing everywhere, but it got to be such a pain we gave up.
Where was this beautiful contraption when I had Ellie?
fold ‘n go™ travel bassinet
- Sturdy side walls with Safe-T-Lock™ system provide peace of mind
- Includes removable mattress pad and sheet for easy cleaning
- Lightweight design and carry handle for parents on-the-go (under 3 lbs.)
- Durable frame construction designed for maximum strength and stability
- Designed to Bassinet Safety Standard
Best part, the price!!! $49.99! Perfect for those hard to buy for moms.
The other issue we use to have and I’m sure many of you had the same issue. I was always shocked by how many people would stick there face inside the baby carriers. It didn’t matter if there was a blanket over it or not. They would simply lift the blanket to get a look at what was inside. People! You have germs!! Stop breathing on the newborn! Problem solved.

Oh my, the travel bassinet for sure! We wore out our pack & play with #1 and I’ve been trying to decide what to do now that #2 is on the way. Of course, ALL of those items would go to great use!

Hi Theresa, I just followed Brica on Twitter and I’d love to be entered into your contest. I’m done having kids (yay for me) but I would love to win this package for my sister in law. She had a horrible time getting pregnant with her second, finally got pregnant and now is having a horrible pregnancy! Poor girl. She’s throwing up constantly and is miserable. A gift like this would totally CHEER her up! Love your blog and your posts! — Jen from SiliconValleyMommy
