I can not believe how fast the last 5 and 1/2 years have gone.
From the moment you were born I knew 2 things. You were meant for me and you were wise beyond your years. I could see it in your eyes and I knew from that day you would forever be teaching me. You have taught me to look at the world differently. To the see the beauty in everything. From a flower to a bug. You amaze me everyday with your wit, your sense of wonder and your unconditional love.
In these 5 short years you have grown into one amazing little girl. Your compassion for others warms my heart. Your desire to learn makes my heart beam. Your love of traveling excites me. And that dang vocabulary of yours! Your vocabulary is better than most 30 year olds! You amaze me! I couldn’t be more proud of you. I’m honored that you chose me to be your Mommy.
For the first time last night you admitted to me that you were a little nervous for kindergarten. You already know that big things are going to start happening this year. Reading and Math are just the tip of the iceberg. Behind those beautiful blue eyes there is always that desire to know more and this is the year that the whole world starts to open up for you.
Today you start a great journey and you’ll need me less and less over the next 15 years. This thought terrifies me, but you’re ready for this journey. I might not be, but I know that you’re more than ready.
You my dear are destined for greatness and I am so blessed to be a part of your journey.
