Recently I was invited to attend the opening of Rosie Pope’s newest Maternity Boutique. While I was super excited, I was also stressed out about what to wear. You’ve seen Rosie on her Bravo Show, Pregnancy in Heels, she always looks so well put together. So after spending 2 hours trying on every piece of Maternity clothing I have, I finally found something I thought would be appropriate and of course I had on heels! So with credit card in hand I headed up to Santa Monica last Thursday.
Of course when we pulled up there was paparazzi hanging out by the red carpet, which was actually pink! That dang paparazzi follows me everywhere. Luckily I was able to dodge them yet again, so you won’t see me on TMZ this week. Whew!
Inside, the store was bright and airy.
The latest from Rosie’s spring line were neatly hanging on the rack just waiting to be purchased. Oh yes, I did purchase, but more about that a little later.
See those white pants? Yes the ones that look exactly like a pair of white pants I would wear. No I didn’t buy them and yes I’m totally regretting it. UGH!
Shortly after I arrived the absolutely adorable Rosie Pope walked in.
Rosie is currently due in May with her first girl!! She already has 2 little boys. The sexy little number she’s wearing, of course it’s from her line! You can purchase the Onassis Dress here. Check out her shoes too! LOVE! Rosie wasn’t the only excepting Mommy wearing her line.
Molly Sims, seen here with Brooke Burke and Rosie Pope, was wearing Rosie’s Maxi Dress. I love how she paired it up with a blazer. It was a little chilly out.
One of my husbands favorite actresses, Alyson Hannigan, was also there wearing Rosie’s India Dress. She looked amazing!!!
I think I’ve tortured you enough with my horrible paparazzi impression. Honestly I took these photos with my iPhone when they weren’t looking. I tried to be stealthy.
So now do you want to see what I bought?
First my favorite purchase! These Navy Blue Linen shorts! I actually wore them this past weekend to the pool at the Red Rock Casino.
I paired them up with a lace cover-up and my navy/coral striped swimsuit. I got a ton of compliments, not only from my husband, but from a number of cute skinny 20 something girls hanging out by the pool. I think the compliments from the girls meant more to me than my husbands compliments. Sorry honey!
If you see me next summer wearing these shorts, just don’t tell anyone they’re actually maternity. They are so comfortable they have officially made it into my post baby wardrobe.
I also bought…
Rosie Basic Linen Capri’s in Navy Blue. Navy works for me. I already have shirts that I can mix and match with these. I kinda wish I would have bought them in white as well.
This Long Sleeve Stripe Syvlie is incredibly comfortable and perfect for the cool summer nights we have here in San Diego. I also bought a number of Cap Sleeve T-Shirts because they were so soft!!!
For my Southern California readers, make sure you stop by Rosie Pope’s newest store in Santa Monica. The rest of you don’t fear! You can get any of these pieces online at RosiePopeMaternity.com
I’m sure you noticed a ton of camera and lights in my photos. They were filming for the second season of Pregnant in Heels! Woo hoo!!! Look for it to start in May on Bravo.
I promise more to come from my visit to Rosie Pope’s Maternity store in the future. I learned way to much to fit into one article!
