We are all trying to be Eco-friendly these days so what better way to do so, and have fun with your kids, then to make crafts out of recyclables?! During the month of April my daughter came home from preschool with an assignment; create a ‘toy’ from recyclables and bring it in for show and tell! I immediately went to one of my all time fave websites for kids craft projects: www.familyfun.com they have some AWESOME project ideas for all occasions so of course I found what I was looking for. I was even able to search their projects by material type and they had a category for ‘recycled’! P1 is totally in to dressing up and playing house/make believe so we decided to make the cereal box tote and the juice carton wallet! And, not to brag or anything but she had the best projects in the class thanks to disneyfamily.com!
We started with a small cereal box and a juice carton, AND………
I realized after we had finished that we could have gone once step further with recycled materials and used old magazines instead of leftover construction paper for the tote bag. Guess we’ll just have to make another one!
Note: I was in no way compensated by disney or any of their affiliates for this post. I just really LOVE their websites and thought I’d share with you all!
