Pet Peeve Monday

So this past Friday, after a particularly irritable day, I thought it might be mentally helpful to have a Pet Peeve Vent Day. While on twitter venting a few fellow tweople chimed in, “there’s a wordless Wednesday, how about Pet Peeve Monday!”

Why not get our Pet Peeves off our chest on Monday! What a great way to start the week! Get it off your chest at the beginning of the week so you can focus on all the positive for the rest of the week.

So here we go…

Pet Peeve #1 People who think they are more important than everyone else.

You know those people, they take up 2 parking spots. Which always seems to be when the parking lot is overly packed, or when I need to pick up a ton of dry cleaning.

They use the 15 and less isle at the market even thought they have over 20 items!

Those sales clerks who don’t have the time to assist me or anyone else for that matter. Refer to ooph.com on this one.
They leave their empty Starbucks cups sitting on the ground rather than throwing them away in the trash can that’s less than 10 feet away. These are the same people who will spit their gum on to the sidewalk.
When the elevator opens they jump in before you can get out. This leaves me scrambling to get around them before the door closes on me.
They let their kids trample my kid at the play ground and laugh. Really? You want my 32 pound 3 year old to fight your 5 year bully on the ladder up the to slide?
You know who I’m talking about.

What’s your pet peeve? Leave a comment and a link to your site! Make sure to come back next Monday.

And a big thank you to @OttosMomBlogs and @ericaZHR

I always hate the about me section. I’m so many different things, I’m never sure how to narrow it down into a paragraph or 2. I love taking pictures, dancing in my living room, talking, I really love talking, and Traveling. I’m an Ex NFL Cheerleader, a “first wife” and now a first time mommy with a beautiful little girl. My life is far from boring and though there are times I long for boring, in the end I’d have it no other way!

  1. I cannot stand the people who let their dogs poop and pee in my yard. Even if you have a bag for the former. Keep it down by the curb, there’s grass there too, don’t let your dog walk through my yard!!!

I am afraid Pet Peeve Monday might be right up my alley… I’ll be back, I am sure! ;-)

I hate the 2 spot parkers too! I never understood why people do that. A friend of mine used to have these cute little business cards that she would leave on the windshield of the “double parker” It said something like….”Are you trying to be an inconsiderate BLEEP or are you just plain stupid?” And it had a picture of a car parked across 2 spots…you know just in case the driver was plain stupid and needed pictures.

I couldn’t agree with you more! And I love the business card idea from “bestmommy” !

  4. Hey there mommies,

I know it’s Tuesday but something JenniferfromLaJolla griped about yesterday is irritating me today.
I just put the kids on the bus and decided to take a leisurely bike ride through my neighborhood before the mercury starts to rise again. As I was rolling along enjoying the cool morning air I counted 7 piles of dog mess along the edge of the road where the grass meets the pavement. Come on people! What makes you think this is acceptable? We all jog, walk, ride bikes, walk to each others houses for social gatherings and such and yet some of us think it’s okay to leave their dog’s waste on the property that we all share. I know technically, the mess wasn’t in anyone’s “yard” but can we please show a little more respect for each other and the common areas we and our children all use? I feel like setting up a surveilance camera and catching them in the act, kind of like those red light cameras at busy intersections—there’s no denying it, once you’re caught on video. Wouldn’t that be a nice addition to the neighborhood website? We’ve discussed this subject before at the HOA meetings and in the neighborhood newsletters but people continue to leave the mess behind. Maybe a little embarrassment and public humiliation would do the trick. What do you think?
    Peeved While Pedaling,
    bestmommy
