So out of no where my belly POPPED! I rushed around 2 weeks ago searching for a birthday outfit and a few other outfits to get me through the next 3 or 4 months. Let’s talk shopping spree! Ok, did go crazy. I had spent the weekend looking at maternity clothes online, so I had an idea what I wanted. I just need to try on a few things to get the right sizes.
Just to show you I practice what I preach, this week I’m going to share a few outfits with you that I’ve actually purchased.
So let’s start with the birthday outfit.
I knew one of the first things I was going to need was a pair of maternity jeans!
I love these Citizens of Humanity dark skinny jeans. Not only are they comfy, but I still feel that I’m wearing a current style and not just any pair of maternity jeans.
The Multiway Bandeau Top I ordered in pink from Isabella Oliver and the best part is that it can be worn different ways. This way I can wear a number of times all while changing up my look.
Look through your closet. What do you already own that will work with your ever growing belly?
I already own the Michael Stars long cardigan and the Kate Spade Clutch. My favorite Black Peep toes and my brand new Pink Saphire ring completed my sexy at 23 weeks ensemble.
Spring is here in San Diego, so that means I would have had to shop anyway. Right? Right!
If you know me than you know I have a thing for white pants. There’s no way I would have made it through this pregnancy without at least one pair of white pants. I found these Fold over the Belly Linen Fit Maternity Pants at A Pea in the Pod along with the Sleeveless Scoop necked top. I slip on a pair of my Tory Burch Wedges and I’m set. I love the simple clean look of the outfit.
The Navy and White Striped Scoop Neck from Isabella Oliver also works great with these white pants or even my new skinny maternity jeans. All part of my plan.
When you’re out shopping make sure you shop for pieces that you can mix and match. Also, don’t buy something you’re only going to wear once. This way you get more bang for our buck!
I’m super excited to share next weeks looks with you too. Let’s just say I ordered a pair of color skinny denim jeans and Isabella Oliver sent me a little surprise to show you! Woo hoo!

Your birthday outfit was stunning!

Thank you Mary!!! It was out of my comfort zone to wear an actual color for once. LOL

I’ve been doing some of the same things this pregnancy too. I bought a few pairs of jeans that fit me well and make me feel good and I’ve been using cardigans, sweaters and such from my closet that still fit to make me feel like me.

It really does help to add a cardigan, sweater or something from my non pregnancy closet to make me feel a little more like me.
Hottie! My pregnancy uniform was yoga pants. This is WAY cuter

I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but your outfits make me wish I had my cute pregnant belly back (the cute pregnant belly I had with my son, the twins’ pregnant belly was NOT cute!)!

Great fashion style! It’s good that you still get to follow the trends even if you’re pregnant. Just remember to be careful when wearing those shoes.
