Curiosity Quest

curiosity2 months ago I recieved a email from Kirk of  Gonzo Communications, asking if I’d be interested in reviewing a show called Curiosity Quest.

Curiosity Quest (www.curiosityquest.org) is an upbeat educational program for the whole family that explores subjects that viewers are curious about. In each show, host Joel Greene, ventures on a quest to answer viewer’s letters. Each quest takes the audience on location for an unscripted, hands-on, educational exploration. In addition, throughout each program, Joel will hit the streets to get real and often comical answers to questions pertaining to each episode.

This national PBS television program (on over 140 stations) explores what people are curious about with recent quests ranging from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and living in the circus, to Pet Adoption and Rescue Dogs. Curiosity Quest also has a special Curiosity Quest Goes Green series that has explored Water Treatment Facilities, Landfills, and the Recycling of bottles, cans, plastic, glass and turning them into new products.

Sounds great! Send it my way!!!

I took it with us on our family vacation to the East Coast and watched it with my 10 year twin boys and 5 year old boy cousins.    We decided to watch the Going Green episode.  I’m really excited to report that they talked the whole way through it!  Ok, that sounds bad, what I mean is they talked about the show while we watched it.  Alot of “Ew”, “Wow, that’s cool”, and “I didn’t know that”.   They liked the Joel the Host.  He was easy to watch, understand and he kept their interest.

If the TV shows “Dirtest Jobs” and “How things are made” were to have a kid, it would be Curiosity Quest.  We all gave it a big thumbs up and felt it was not only informative, but fun to watch!   This show is perfect for the 5-12 year olds and we have a copy to give away!

Let’s do a back to school give away!  Leave us a comment on why you should receive the “Goes Green” episode and we’ll pick one comment at the end of August and send it to you!  Good luck and enjoy!

I always hate the about me section. I’m so many different things, I’m never sure how to narrow it down into a paragraph or 2. I love taking pictures, dancing in my living room, talking, I really love talking, and Traveling. I’m an Ex NFL Cheerleader, a “first wife” and now a first time mommy with a beautiful little girl. My life is far from boring and though there are times I long for boring, in the end I’d have it no other way!
