Coronado Beach Resort

The week before Zach was born we had the opportunity to stay at the Coronado Beach Resort on Coronado Island.  Living in San Diego we forget to take advantages of the hotels and resorts in our hometown.  Our weekend on Coronado has inspired my husband and I to try out a few more local spots.

Besides getting in a weekend of relaxing before the new baby came, we had a great time celebrating our last weekend as a family of 3. We ate, we swam, we enjoyed the sun, we enjoyed the shops, and it gave us a chance to talk as a family about the upcoming change.  We had a chance to enjoy Coronado Island the way tourist do and loved every moment of it.

Normally when we think about staying on the Island we naturally think of The Hotel Del Coronado.  Problem is we don’t always want to spend almost $400 a night to stay there and they tend to book up during the summer weekends.   The Coronado Beach Resort is the perfect option for those weekends that you just want a quick, easy getaway.  Located right across the street from The Del, you’re right in the heart of all the food, shopping and relaxing Coronado has to offer.

We stayed in a very spacious 2 bedroom suite.  This was perfect for our growing family. We never felt like we on top of each other.  Many times we mentioned that this would be such a good option for families looking for a week long getaway.   Not only was there a kitchenette in our suite, but there was also a full size refrigerator,  and onsite laundry.  There is a rooftop jacuzzi with an amazing view, but you can also drive a short few miles down the street to the Loews Resort and use their pool as well.  Or you could walk across the street to Coronado Beach which was recently named the best beach in the US.

This was the second bedroom in our suite.  Perfect for siblings!!

The master bedroom had a fabulous view and opened to a great patio.  We enjoy a fabulous breakfast there one of the mornings.

Disclaimer:  A huge thank you to Grand Pacific Resort for the invitation and the warm welcome.  Though the Grand Pacific Resort paid for weekend at the Coronado Beach Resort it did not affect my review.  The staff was so welcoming and helpful.  Thank you again for the fabulous weekend!

I always hate the about me section. I’m so many different things, I’m never sure how to narrow it down into a paragraph or 2. I love taking pictures, dancing in my living room, talking, I really love talking, and Traveling. I’m an Ex NFL Cheerleader, a “first wife” and now a first time mommy with a beautiful little girl. My life is far from boring and though there are times I long for boring, in the end I’d have it no other way!
