The RESHOEVN8R is here!

So the guys over at RESHOEVN8R are convinced they can get my shoes clean.  I’ll take that challenge!  Mainly because I’d rather buy cute wedges than a new pair of sneakers.     Honestly this was a piece of cake to use though my shoes were so dirty that I ran them through twice!  I [...]

Interior Design Tips with @twfdesigns – Use the height of your ceilings

TWFDesigns

I have many flaws in my decorating, but one of my biggest was that I wasn’t using the full height of my tall ceilings. The amazing Tom from TWF Designs has taught me so much in just a few short weeks, but the 2 tips I’m going to share with you today are some of my favorite!

Last time we talked about Tom working his magic undecorating of my house. I just had (and still have) so much going on. I have to learn to simplify and that I don’t always have to decorate in squares.

On to today’s tips…

Turkey Meatballs with Sneaky Vegetables

feature meatball

In honor of the Ooph relaunch today, we’re going to share one of Stefanie’s recipes with you. Not only did her son devour these, so did Ellie. Ellie is not a big veggie eater, so it always a battle making sure she gets some veggies into her system. I am so thankful to have another food to add to my arsenal.

The Stress Free Hostess Gift Guide

hostessgift

It happens every year!  We get invited to a party last minute and I have no gift for the Hostess!  This year I have promised myself I’m going to stock up ahead of time with extra just in case gifts as well.  So if I’m coming to one of your parties you can expect one [...]

The undecorating of my house, by TWF Designs

featured

Here’s the deal.  My husband and I have been living in our house for 4 years and I’ve barely done anything, except make a mess.  I leave walls blank because I don’t know what should go on them.  I let my husbands lame attempt to hang art go because I don’t know what to replace [...]

Kitchen Design Tips

kitchen 2

I was recently asked to judge San Diego Home and Garden Magazine‘s Annual Kitchen of the Year competition. My design partner Michael and I have been fortunate enough to have had several of our kitchens featured in the magazine, and I was really excited to have the opportunity to give back.   It was so [...]

Who needs a glass of wine?

about_gilgal_wide

A few weeks ago I asked the question “What was the one baby product you couldn’t live without?”  My answer was my stroller, but I think my answer should have been a good glass of wine. There are a few of us “Mommy Bloggers” who were asked to taste and review 2 bottles from the Golan [...]

Summer Trend Report

feature

It’s getting HOT in here! Last week I got to attend a trunk show of some of the latest fabric collections from Europe, presented by Kneedler-Fauchere, a beautiful designer showroom in Los Angeles. There were DEFINITELY some trends running through almost all the lines we saw. Those trends can be summed up in 2 words: [...]

Nacho Mama’s Last-Minute Easter Craft Idea!

IMG00427-20110419-1110

I LOVE Easter! I love the colors, the candy, the family fun-everything about it. The only thing I dislike about Easter? Hard-boiled eggs. As a kid, I loved dyeing the eggs, but HATED having to eat all those funky-colored egg-salad sandwiches. So-when I was in high school I came up with the idea of actually [...]

Not a pastry chef? No worries-Delizza to the rescue!

I LOVE PASTRIES. If I could live on creampuffs and eclairs, believe me, I would. However, while my friends tell me I’m an awesome cook? My family tells me that I am a terrible baker. Pretty much anytime I try to create something sweet from my oven it ends in disaster. And yet you can’t have folks over for dinner without dessert-at least I can’t. That’s why I jumped at the chance to review a line of frozen Belgian desserts from Delizza. All the yumminess and none of the hassle? Yes, please!
