Back to School shopping spree at Westfield Mall

Ellie is starting Kindergarten in just a few short weeks.  Yes, I’m totally freaking out!  Thank goodness Westfield Malls contacted me for a special assignment or else I would probably still be in denial about the back to school shopping.

So early one Tuesday morning I dropped Ellie off at Camp while Zach and I drove down to Westfield Parkway for a day of shopping.

Nursing Lounge

Of course the moment we arrived Zach needed to be changed and feed.  I can not tell you how excited I was when I saw the family changing center.  Not only was it clean, but it had everything you could possible need.  A waiting area for kids where they could watch TV quietly, a microwave to warm baby food, private Nursing lounges, and nice spacious area to change Zach.

With Zach changed and fed it was time to start shopping. Gymboree was my first stop.  This year I decided to do something a little different. Though Ellie’s school doesn’t require they wear a uniform until they hit upper grades, I decided that uniform style clothing would be a great base.  I also love colors and preppy look.

Gymboree had a number of cute items in their uniform collections.  Shorts, skirts, tops, and pants.  I also purchased a few none uniform items like shirts that mix and match easily with her navy shorts and skirts.

Next stop, The Children’s Place where even little Zach got a couple of new outfits.  The Children’s Place also had a great selection of uniform pieces.

With just 9 pieces there are at least 17 combinations.  Here are just a few of the combinations and an extra outfit we bought.

We hit up Macy’s where I purchased Ellie a new pink backpack, which she went crazy for.  The Disney Store for a few fun school items like pencils and notebooks.

Now I think I’m finally set for Ellie’s first day of school.  Whew!!!

Are you ready school to start?  I have something that might help. Westfield is now hosting a national Back-to-School Facebook Sweepstakes where fans can visit their local Westfield Facebook page or nationally here and enter to win a $500 Back-to-School Westfield shopping spree.

For all my iPhone and Android users don’t forget to download the Westfield App v2.0 - iPhone - Android.  I’ll tell you more about it later this month.  I can tell you it saved me a ton of time when I was at Westfield UTC last week.

Disclosure:  I am working directly with Westfield. I am being compensated as a member of the WFamily influencer program.

I always hate the about me section. I’m so many different things, I’m never sure how to narrow it down into a paragraph or 2. I love taking pictures, dancing in my living room, talking, I really love talking, and Traveling. I’m an Ex NFL Cheerleader, a “first wife” and now a first time mommy with a beautiful little girl. My life is far from boring and though there are times I long for boring, in the end I’d have it no other way!

  4. Your daughter is darling, quite the little model. You are my kinda shopper mix and match mix and match! Since I shop for a living literally… I could really use the $500 shopping spree ;)

  5. Ellie looks beautiful.

It would be wrong to enter so mummy can have new back to school clothes to wear instead of the sweats she normally rocks up to school in, right :) .
