Where do I begin? I have so much video to edit and so many pictures to go through! Hershey Park was amazing! There were rides for everyone on every level!
We got to Chocolate World at a little after 9 in the morning and didn’t leave Hershey Park until a little before 9pm! We went non stop all day and loved every blister, sore muscle, and tasty moment of it!
Every year my husband and I take our daughter to Chocolate World in Hershey PA. We always take the Chocolate Tour and purchase the ride photo. Some people take a yearly family photo in front of a Christmas tree, we do ours in chocolate filled ride. This is one of our favorite traditions. We look forward to it every year and every year we say “We really need to go to Hershy Park also.” Thanks to Hershey Park and the tickets they provided us, this was the year! Also, this year was very special because my Aunt, Uncle, and their 3 boys came along to spend the day with us the park! My parents even met us in the morning for a visit to Chocolate World.
After a quick visit to Chocolate World it was time to make our way over to Hershey Park. Living in San Diego we’ve gone to our fair share of Amusement Parks. I was a little worried that Hershey might not live up to my families expectations. After just a couple of hours there, I was asking myself what did I have to worry about. I can honestly say that this will be one of my favorite memories. I don’t think any of us stopped smiling all day long.
The Park is clean, well laid out, rides for all ages, and tons of food choices, healthy and the not so healthy. Thanks to the HersheyPark iPhone app we knew approximate wait time for the popular rides, show times, had a park map and created a check list of rides we wanted to hit.
My husband and I rode 7 roller coasters with my 10 year old twin cousins. My favorite was the Great Bear, but my husbands favorite was the Storm Runner. If you have a chance to go, make sure you ride Fhrenheit, just for the barging rights. I’m talking straight up, and negative degree drop! CRAZY!!!
Ellie loved that there were a ton of rides that I wasn’t allowed to ride with her. I was to tall. She felt like such a big girl. She had plenty of ride time with her 5 year old cousin. There were a ton of rides that everyone could ride as well, so don’t worry! When ever one set of parents were on a roller coast with the older boys, there were plenty of smaller rides in the same area for the other set of parent to take the little kids to ride.
Did I mention the characters walking around? Ellie was just as excited to meet the Hershey Bar as she was to meet Mickey Mouse! Go figure.
After a morning in the Park we headed over the Boardwark, Hershey’s Parks very own water park. We relaxed on the lazy river, played in the Sandcastle Cove, and the boys rode super scary looking water slides! There was no way you were getting me on those water slides! Next year we’re going to spend at least 2 days in Hershey, and we’re getting a Cabana!
We squeezed every last moment out of Hershey Park this year. As the sun started to set we went back for a few more rides. Even with the tired legs and blisters forming on our feet, none of us wanted to leave!
If you are anywhere on the East Coast, Hershey Park is a must. Wait, who am I kidding! Hershey Park is a must trip for anyone! Harrisburg Airport is less than an hour away. I haven’t even mentioned the hotels, spa, history tours and golf! I’ll save it for later this week because at the moment I’m falling into a Chocolate coma.

I love Hershey Park! We may go there at the end of this month. Hope I get some spa time
