I know…I still have 10 or so weeks left but it feels like the downhill slope. Although this is the most uncomfortable part. The part when you have to carefully roll around in bed or you will get a side pain from the great beyond. When peeing is more frequent than breathing and no matter how starving you are, only so much food will fit in a pancake stomach. At least we are down to two names for the baby. Logan or Landon. It was SET to Logan and then we started to waiver. So maybe we will see until he comes out what he looks more like. I am pretty sure Michael is the middle name no matter what. Naming a baby is stressful!
My current task is to find the best car seat. It’s been 6 years since I had an infant seat and so much changes. I need something lightweight that I can haul around easily when he turns into a chubby brick. I like good handles too. A friend said that Chico is a good brand but a little more expensive. I guess that’s something to spend good money on though. Probably more so than they adorable outfits I see when I pull myself out of Janie and Jack, to which I am convinced is the most ADORABLE clothing store ever created for little ones. Their sales are fabulous, in fact they are having one online now! Good thing it’s sweltering hot now because all the winter stuff is on clearance. Yeah for me and my wallet! Let’s face it, stocking up on newborn clothes is useless so I am trying to focus on 3-9 months. I have also been on the ball about diapers.
My girlfriend (who has a boy) says she LOVES Huggies new Pure and Natural. Says the never, ever leak. My older son was so good and peeing through his diaper and around his back. I never understood that , I just know that I often lifted a soaking baby out of the car seat. So I have been buying these diapers in a few sizes. I am hoping they work. They are really not much more than the others and at Target you can get 60 counts for $20 dollars. Isn’t that crazy to think that every time a baby pees, it’s like 35 cents? Ahhhhhh, parenting. Peee..cha-ching. Peee..cha-ching.
Every time I do go to Target I have to try to avoid the clothing section. I have no will power. None. I have this weakness for tiny clothes. I gave every piece of baby clothes I have to friends and it’s been 6 years. So it’s kind of like starting over. I am blessed that friends are handing down the major items. A swing, bassinet, etc. In fact my baby shower is hand me down. Call it a “green” shower!
So week and a half and we get to see our little man again on the big screen. I’ll post some pics. Until then I would love to have some comments on the best car seats out there. Thanks!

the Graco Snugrides get great safety ratings and aren’t too expensive…I’m on the hunt for one too! My son used his for 4 months, so it was brand new, and we sold it at a yard sell just a few months before I found out I was preggo with surprise #3! What was I thinking!
